I really ran five miles but I got a phone call so I paused it and apparently you only get fifty seconds so I had to start back at zero to get that last mile. I took it easy and just did a ten minute mile pace for the fifty minutes. It was nice my breathing pattern was even and I didn’t feel like I was exerting myself too much.
This morning I didn’t have to go into work until eight, which is an hour later for me so I got dressed to go run outside and fell back asleep for a bit. So to keep with my goal, I brought my workout clothes to work and went to out employee gym to fit the miles in on a treadmill, but that means I will be pretty gross for most of the day. Oh well right?
During my very long twelve hour shift today I attempted to read during the down time, which for being so close to the holiday there is usually a lot of, but there was hardly any so I took care of some last minute emails and applications and put my book away almost as quickly as I took it out.
Today was pretty low key, I was hoping to get in some strength training today but my legs are feeling a bit stiff so I am going to head home in a half hour, eat dinner, and then do some yoga and shower.
How do you motivate yourself to stick to you workouts?
