Hello friends! It’s been a couple of days!

I haven’t posted for a bit which I feel guilty about, but I have been contemplating my life goals lately and meeting up with different colleges to decide what I am really going to do with my future and education.  I haven’t shared this before but I am currently a student at the University of Utah.  I am a pre-nursing major and have been for what feels like forever, which really has been four years.  I can make a lot of excuses as to why it has taken me so long to finish my degree but in reality it was difficult for me to work full time and to go to school full time and achieve the grades that I am worthy of, so I decided to work full time and go to school part-time or less than part time.  Then I had a faze where I didn’t know if I wanted to be a nurse or not so I changed my major to Health Promotion and Education and I truly loved the classes and the idea of preventive medicine but was still weary of whether or not this was the route for me and if I would be successful in finding a job once my degree was finished.  So with all of this said I am going to return to nursing and go to Ameritech College, it is super expensive and not as fancy as the University of Utah but they tell me I can be done in a year and that my tuition will be significantly less than average because I have so many credits already completed.

So that has been my life lately, if things go according to plan then May 11th, the day before my birthday, I will start nursing school and be done in a year!

On another related note, classes started back up again this week but with my new plans for school I don’t think I will need to be in them any longer but just in case I am going to attend the first week and take the Teas test(a pre-entrance exam for nursing) and then depending on how that goes I will either stay in the classes or drop them.

I have been super excited about training lately.  I have been using my Believe journal every day and I am detecting a pattern. I have five days planned of scheduled running a week but it appears that I always miss at least one day during the week, and I was beating my self up over it, but it keeps occurring every week so I am going to resolve with myself that if I am short three miles in my weekly average it isn’t the end of the world and as long as I get my long run in and then some strength and the majority of my weekly runs that I should be fairly successful by the end of this training cycle.  
My Saturday long run was with Andrea this week.  She wanted to do eight so I did four on the treadmill right before we met and then did the last eight with her.  I planned on taking a lot of pictures but the Winter inversion in Utah has been so bad lately that the pictures I take are miserable and it reminds me that I probably shouldn’t be hanging outside that much during those time, but I am not ready to commit twelve miles to the treadmill yet.
The rest of the day I will be studying for the Teas. Or reading Wild.  I really wish I read it before watching the movie but it is still a great book!
