Weight loss update

I don’t know about you but every so often I like to just take a week where I don’t post anything and take a step back from blogging and social media.   Last week was that week for me, I didn’t go to the gym and I didn’t spend much time on my phone or laptop.  I read three books and went hiking, fishing and shooting with my little family.  And even with taking that time off I still lost weight.  I think it is important to not set such high expectations for yourself.  It’s ok to enjoy that snack or take a step back from the gym and then get back into your routine when the time feels right.

I am going to this week energized and excited to build my strength and endurance,  also I am missing this sauna.  There is something about sweating profusely after a vigorous workout!  I was extremely excited this Monday and got up at 3 am to go to the gym when I finally get there and notice the empty parking lot and realize that they don’t open until 5 am on Monday and I have to be to work by 6 am :/.

I am down 34.8 pounds, to say it has been a little rocky would be an understatement but slow and steady is key and I know what I want to work on to achieve my goals.  I noticed I broke my plateau when I started adding a little bit more high intensity cardio so I am looking forward to do more of that in the future.  I also have a friend who would really love to run a half marathon so I think I am going to get back into running!


My goal this week is to get a blue dot every day.  I have been struggling with just eating my points everyday and I want to see if achieving that and going to the gym regularly helps keep me on this trend of loosing weight.

For the month of March I lost only 5 pounds which is a healthy rate of weight loss if I think about it.  1-1.5 pounds per week.  I’m excited to keep trucking along and continue on slow and study.  HaHa.
